In the US, over 700,000 businesses start up each year.  Of these, 97% are considered small businesses (fewer than 20 employees) and they account for about 70% of the non-farm gross domestic product (GDP).  In an average year only 5,000 or so ventures get venture capital. Wells Fargo and Gallup reported last year that the average small business owner uses an average of $10,000 to start his or her business.

This is an amazing fact that 70% of the GDP (non-farm) is attributed to small businesses.  It is also interesting that the average startup investment is 10K.  A lot can be done with a little amount of cash.  Invest it wisely.  Do you have any tips for how to spend your 10K?
